Along the Aberdeenshire coast there are many small villages and towns. The villages are particularly attractive. They would have had a thriving fishing indusry at one time, however those days are largely gone. Some of them do have a few fishing boats but tourism is the industry of the 21st century. Despite the change they have not lost their charm.
